Greetings from the Pacific Northwest!
A summer vacation finds us here, hanging out at my cousin’s house with a pile of kids running around, delicious meals and incredible local wines. Today we head to the coast with hopes of finding agates on the beach. And enjoying incredible sunrises and sunsets. I am beyond grateful to be reminded that the simple things mater most…family, nutrious foood, time in nature. May the simple things find you this weekend and fill you up.
FRIDAY FUN:
In November of 1999, a friend was buying a house and moving out of a rental. She asked me if I wanted to take over her lease. I did, and I haven’t left. She recently started a substack newsletter and writes about living a more nature friendly life; her latest essay about hope and water in the west is spot on. She also linked to this site, as a resource for activism and it is super cool.
While on the site linked above, I couldn’t help migrating over and doing a little online browsing. Have you checked out Worn Wear? Lots of great finds right now.
A friend in Denver teaches here. The urban feel is too urban but wouldn’t a mountain version perhaps in a redesigned, remodeled Black Forest be so cool? #dreams.
Remember the video we posted of someone doing a 108 sun salutations for a month? So inspiring! Justine and I are going to host a 108 practice around the equinox. Want to join us? Let’s start preparing our bodies now, starting slowly and mindfully. Please take any and all modifications that suit your practice. Leave a note in comments below or email me if you are interested and we will start a subgroup with motivational emails and tips for modifications.
