How are you today?
We are a bit sad and worried here at our house as Luna woke up with nausea and a fever. We had a busy weekend ahead of us but you know what they say about the best laid plans... While it seems unlikely that it would be Covid, it is certainly a possibility and any illness now necessitates a test and waiting for results. I am definitely feeling discouraged and over the whole pandemic. Sigh…
But we are snuggled in at home for a rainy evening and I have some fun links to share…
When we don’t know what to have for dinner, we make this.
Did anyone else read this NYT article about weight training and burning fat? Really interesting and not all that surprising. If you are looking to add weights into your life, I highly and unabashedly recommend our twice weekly HIIT class with Michelle (T/TH 2-2:45pm).
We are excited to watch the Olympics! So many inspiring athletes and stories, including this one.
Sometimes the most amazing places are right in your backyard. I forget just how lucky we are to have some incredible parks and monuments right here. We are looking forward to backpacking in Rocky Mountain National Park next weekend.
The Nederland Library is looking for feedback with a short (less than 1 minute) survey. Speaking of the library, this event looks super cool. And speaking of surveys, if you haven’t already, please complete this survey to bring an affordable healthcare clinic here to Nederland. And last bit of Nederland news…don’t forget to check out the Mountain Forum for Peace Yard Sale this weekend at the community center.
Have a wonderful and healthy weekend,
Diana
