Friends, dear friends, how are you today? Were you able to enjoy some of the warm weather this week. So lovely but a little unnerving. I am glad some snow is on the way, followed by more warm weather and then more snow. Never a dull moment with Colorado weather! However, we are headed out on a rafting trip in a few weeks and I really hope it is warm that week:)
FRIDAY LINKS
Speaking of rafting trips, it has been awhile since I have run a true rapid so I am a bit nervous. I have been watching videos, setting my intentions for a clean run, unlike this poor fellow.
What travel plans are you dreaming of? We have three trips on the horizon, and I am always happiest when I have a trip to look forward to. We got a backpacking permit here…hooray! And we have a trip planned for here…so excited. And of course our annual Rest & Renew yoga retreat here.
I have been listening to this morning meditation lately. Have I already shared it with you? It is worth sharing again:) My mom shared this meditation with me which is also lovely. Speaking of my mom, she is coming to visit and I was thinking we should have Restorative Yoga with Reiki while she is here, would you like that?
Yesterday, I was in Target and saw this book…have any of you read it? It seems like one of those books that will really impact the reader, I am not sure I am ready for that but curious to hear your thoughts. Also, this book looked good too. I seem to be particularly interested in learning more about habits this year.
Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Wild Bear is hosting the Backcountry Film Festival on Saturday. The Nederland Elementary PTA will have a bake sale and Patrick will be making some delicious gluten free molasses cookies. Come and support two amazing organizations that are up to some great things!
Several of you sent me emails in response to last week’s newsletter. Thank you for your kind words. Please continue to support the people of Ukraine and be kind to yourself in the midst of the worry and turmoil.
xx
STUDIO UPDATES
March 12. Justine and I are hosting our teacher, RR Shakti for an Inner Power Yoga gathering. You will learn the foundational principals of an Inner Power Yoga asana practice and experience the mythical weavings of Shakti as she talks about the history and philosophy of yoga. It is also an introduction or rather a taste of the 200 hour IPY training which begins April 7! Is this the year that you join us?
