I keep coming back to why I started this newsletter. It was during the pandemic, when our days felt uncertain, and I would send out a weekly email to those practicing with us online, sharing the schedule for the week ahead—because that’s all we could plan for. Over time, I started adding little links—things that made me laugh, inspired me, or felt uplifting in some way. I hoped they would bring you a bit of joy too, a small escape from the heaviness of that time.
Laughter and joy are important, and sometimes, we need to step away from all of our cares and considerations, even if just for a moment. They don’t disappear, but sometimes, after a break, we can come back to them with a little more ease, with a fresh perspective. That’s the same intention I bring to teaching yoga and to my own practice. I hope this newsletter feels like an extension of that practice and that, in some small way, it brings you joy or at least a brief reprieve.
