Happy Halloween weekend! There is a lot of excitement in our house for this weekend. Luna is dressing up as a fox and she is so cute in this costume. Please say hello if you see us out and about! Speaking of, I thought this article about kids and candy was really interesting. One of my mom’s favorite stories of me as a 3YO was coming home with a huge bag of candy and telling her she could get rid of it because I didn’t want any. Apparently, I only wanted to get the candy but I didn’t actually want it. Ha Ha.
Hoping you have a good weekend and here are a few fun links for you…
Friday Links
As you know, I love this blog and I have to remind myself to find recipes from other sites for you but everything here is so good! I almost always ‘jump to the recipe’ and skip all the commentary, however the narrative on this recipe, is really beautiful and touching. And the recipe is spot on too.
For all the pet lovers out there, especially those of you who adopt rescue pets.
Oh, wow…some of these are really funny (The AT-AT walker stepping in gum!). The Winnie-the-Pooh ones are a little dark.
We booked a trip!! We are really excited to spend New Years with my mom here.
I watched this movie this week. Luna is a big fan of Taylor Swift and despite myself, I have come to really like her as well. She speaks to finding and being true to herself in the midst of immense public attention and not in a “poor me” way but in a way that I think we can all relate to. Anyway, I recommend it.
Patrick celebrated a birthday yesterday and we went to Meow Wolf…have you been? There are so many ways and so many words to describe the experience but I have settled on two. Bizarre and Amazing. We also went here for dinner and sat in a private greenhouse. The chef has been nominated for several James Beard awards and deserves all the accolades and press she has received.
Studio Updates
For Mountain HIIT, Michelle is devoting the whole month of November to winter sports conditioning. So, if you are excited for skiing and riding but know that you should probably be in a little bit better shape…this class is for you! Tuesdays/Thursdays at 2pm or, available to members only, watch the video later at your convenience. Please note this is a livestream class that takes place over Zoom.
Lester is excited to offer a two week introduction to yoga, but here’s a secret….it’s not only for those that are new to the practice. It is a great opportunity to learn more about all aspects of yoga.
Also, Justine will be joining me as a guest teacher for the Vinyasa Workshop Saturday at 9am. We will be working on Pincha Mayurasana and Scorpion pose. We will teach it in a way that is fun and accessible. Join us!
