What are you up to this holiday weekend? We are looking forward to a Maryland crab party tonight, paddleboarding on Sunday and getting ready for a river trip next week!
Friday Links
Go Be Weird. Which got me checking out his other YouTube videos. This is great and this too.
A friend had never seen this commercial from last year. I really love the message from it.
These satirical movie reviews are pretty funny.
Do you know about this retreat center near Ward? Sarah recently did a workshop there and said she highly recommends it.
Did you know that every 4th grader gets a National Parks Pass? So cool! Here is a fun quiz on which National Park you should visit next. I got Haleakalā National Park, Hawaii which would be amazing but isn’t in our budget.
This was surprisingly delicious.
If you feel inspired, here are some ways you can help the people of Jackson, Mississippi.
Studio Updates
With the change of season comes a couple of shifts in our schedule.
We had our last Yoga in the Park this week. Wednesdays will be Restorative Yoga with Bart and Thursdays a Level 2 Vinyasa with Amy.
Pre/Post Natal yoga is now a regular offering every Tuesday morning at 9:30 with Erin. There is a Mama’s circle afterwards.
Kids Yoga with Taylor is back!
We have some great offerings this month for the Sunday Pop-Ups
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 11: Yoga Date Night with Angie
Designed for couples in any stage of relationship, this three-part “date night” series focuses on gentle partner yoga postures as a method for deepening connection. No yoga experience required, just a willingness to be curious about your relationship with your loved one. Sign up a la carte, or for all three classes (Following Dates October 2 and November 13). Space is limited to 6 couples per class $30/couple.
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 18: Corny Core with Diana
This class is all about the core! One of the best ways to strengthen our abdominal muscles is through laughter. Join Diana for a core strengthening class intermixed with corny yoga jokes.
Ex. Why is a doughnut bad at yoga? It has no core!!
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 25: Fall Equinox Restorative Flow Sound Bath with Sarah
Join us as we move and rest in alignment with the Fall Equinox and shift of seasons. The Sound Bath facilitates a shift in brainwaves from our normal waking state to alpha and theta states that are similar to deep meditation. We’ll start with a restorative flow so we can sink even more deeply into our “bath” of soothing frequencies. Feel free to BYOP (bring your own pillow)!
Enjoy the sunshine this weekend.
