Last week, we happily floated with friends down the Colorado River through Ruby Horsethief. We saw eagles, herons and a family of otters. We ate good meals, slept under the stars (and a very bright almost full moon), and hunkered down during an epic dust storm. The absolute best and most challenging part of a river trip is being fully in nature for anything and everything that might happen. It is humbling and awe inspiring and just what I needed.
I hope this weekend finds you outside fully soaking up all vibes.

For all you plant lovers out there...keeping your green thumb during the winter
Every now and then there is a commercial that is truly…profound.
Wild Bear hosts one of its largest fundraisers this weekend, Enchanted Forest. It is magical and we are lucky to have such an incredible organization here in our community.
I have been listening to this podcast. I am only half way through but so far the take home message is that we make a difference in our own communities and the spaces that we are passionate about. I look forward to reading his newest book.
Speaking of new books, I think I’ll read this one. I am not always a big fan of fiction. But in a small world story, Anthony Doerr is a close friend of our dear friend, Ben (Hi Ben!) who was the officiant when Patrick and I got married. And I loved Doer’s second novel.
And while we are on the topic of social justice, Luna and I registered for this event in a couple of weeks. We love the Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls. It is a super inspiring book for everyone. I had the idea today that it would be cool to host a series of talks with local rebel women. If you know one or are one…let me know!
